Dr. Wilnelya Morales Rosado, a member of the Advisory Committee at Epic Healthcare Solutions, is an adult psychiatry specialist certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Her professional practice is distinguished by a profound commitment to clinical excellence, leading the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of complex mental health conditions and adaptive behavioral disorders.

As a rigorously trained expert, Dr. Morales Rosado provides strategic counsel and consulting services to key institutions within Puerto Rico’s healthcare system. She serves in vital roles as a Psychiatric Consultant for the Puerto Rico Department of Health (SSPADI) and as a Mental Health Advisor and Consultant for the Automobile Accident Compensation Administration (ACAA). Additionally, she stands out in the institutional and corporate sectors as an Occupational Psychiatric Evaluator for the Center for Advanced Cognitive Studies.

 

Prior to establishing herself as an authority in her specialty, Dr. Morales Rosado completed her formal academic training at the University of Puerto Rico, initially earning her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences at the Ponce Campus. She subsequently obtained her Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical Sciences Campus. At the same institution, she completed her first postgraduate year (PGY-1) within the Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency program, followed by her specialization in the General Psychiatry Residency Program (fully accredited by the ACGME). During this final training phase, her leadership and clinical competence led her to serve with distinction as Co-Chief Resident during the 2019–2020 academic year.

 

Her international experience and ability to navigate complex medical-legal environments were consolidated during her tenure as an Attending Psychiatrist at Pembroke Hospital in Massachusetts. There, she managed acute psychiatric admissions and led medical management for involuntary commitment hearings under state regulations. This extensive, broad-based experience underpins the high-caliber clinical practice she currently offers to the adult community at her private practice in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, as well as her educational role as a lecturer for the Health Sciences Educational Institute.

 

Dr. Morales Rosado’s multifaceted profile is complemented by a prominent five-year academic tenure as a Professor in the Naturopathic Medicine Doctoral Program at the School of Health Sciences of Universidad del Turabo, where she taught courses in Pathology, Immunology, Medical Genetics, and Psychiatry & Mental Health.
