Dr. Porfirio Rodríguez González is a member of Epic Healthcare Solutions’ advisory committee. As a highly experienced neurologist and Diplomate of the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry, he leads and oversees the implementation of specialized neurological services and hospital program direction within Puerto Rico’s premier healthcare institutions. He drives clinical programs focused on diagnostic precision and the effective management of complex nervous system conditions, ensuring alignment with the highest standards of neurological care.  

 

Dr. Rodríguez González brings over three decades of continuous clinical experience to his role. Prior to establishing himself as an authority in the field, he completed his academic training at the University of Puerto Rico, where he earned a Bachelor of Science (Magna Cum Laude) and his Medical Degree from the Medical Sciences Campus. He completed his residency in Neurology under the direction of Dr. Jesús Vélez Borrás, providing his professional profile with a rigorous foundation in clinical neuroscience.  

 

In this capacity, he has played a key role in the direction and management of neurology departments, serving as the Neurology Program Director at Pavía Hospital since 1992. His affiliations with prestigious institutions, including Doctors’ Center Hospital, the Cardiovascular Center of the Caribbean, and Wilma N. Vázquez Hospital, enable him to apply a comprehensive approach to treating patients with diverse neurological disorders.
